The FUND works with numerous other child care coalitions and advocacy groups developing public policy initiatives aimed at encouraging public and private investments in the child care system.  In this way, the FUND not only contributes to individual projects but works more generally to expand the supply of quality space for child care. Current initiatives include the following:

Federal -
The FUND is an active member of the National Children's Facilities Network (NCFN), a national network of 27 organizations that work to expand the supply and improve the quality of child care space throughout the country. NCFN works to secure new federal resources for child care facilities financing and associated technical assistance. For more information, contact NCFN at www.ncfn.org.

State -
The FUND supports Strategies for Children's Early Education for All campaign and their proposed legislation, H.1838/S.239. While the legislation does not include a facilities component, the FUND supports the campaign's goals of expanding statewide access to high-quality early childhood education and strengthening the overall early childhood education system.
