We can work with child-care providers to access a variety of different resources for capital projects. Typically, providers will need to piece together several different financing sources to fully cover budgeted costs.

Loans

The FUND itself lends money for child care facilities projects, typically on more flexible and affordable terms than other lenders, and can offer providers technical assistance with project planning and implementation. See Loans for more information.

Grants

We also administer a variety of capital grant programs, to the degree we are able to raise funds to do so. These funds are typically available on a competitive basis through periodic Requests For Proposals.

Other Resources

Finally, we can also help providers to identify other financing sources --  public funding sources, foundations, lenders -- to fill gaps in their project budgets.  We can help providers to identify architects, project managers, and other key sources of expertise.  And we can point you to other web-sites that you might find useful.  See Resources for more information.
